Jeremy Lydell Haugen is a native of Minneapolis. An aspiring modern polymath and cosmopolite, he is an analyst, intellectual recluse, amateur musician, and occasional essayist. His interests include drama, music, æsthetics, architecture & design, urban design, science, technology, energy issues, ecological and environmental stewardship, practical philosophy, civil liberties, and foreign policy. Jeremy is an ovo-lacto vegetarian, autodidact, independent thinker, constant reader, avowed generalist, futurist, Go player [ Igo 囲碁 , Wéiqí 围棋 , Baduk 바둑 ], 'Classical' music connoisseur, cello student, blues guitarist, and seeker of sartorial enlightenment. He enjoys speculative fiction, animation, and puppetry. Jeremy is a Secular Humanist in principle with a certain affection for Dàoist philosophy [ Dàojia 道家 ]. His ideas have been influenced by the writings of Gore Vidal, Richard Dawkins, among others.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Minnesota, and is a successful survivor of two decades of public education.

Jeremy earns his livelihood as an information technology consultant. He divides his time between Minneapolis and Rochester, Minnesota.
